Werks Grotesk is a multi-weight combinative sans-serif designed as an homage to the neo-grotesk and humanist typography of early 20th century metal foundries. Initially developed for internal use at PONDERWERKS with 5 weights, Werks Grotesk was later refined to 3 styles and open-sourced with accessibility for aspiring designers and small studios in mind. Available soon on adobe and google fonts.

Werks Serif is a multi-weight family designed as an homage to traditional serifs while optimized for digital screens. The family is inspired by ancient Roman times, where stone carvers used serifs, small lines, or strokes at the ends of letters as a means to prevent chipping and create cleaner lines. Initially developed with 8 styles, Werks Serif was later refined to 6 styles and developed to be open-sourced at launch. Available soon on adobe and google fonts.
